Winsted Municipal Airport Commission

The Winsted Municipal Airport Commission serves as an advisory commission to the City Council providing for the review and recommendation of all matters concerning the Airport as required by the Winsted Municipal Code and as referred by the Council.  These responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Oversee the activities of public and private agencies in Winsted with concern for their effects on the quality of the Airport;
  
• Consider current and proposed plans and operations of municipal activities as they affect or concern the Airport;
• Seek community opinion as appropriate on recommendations to improve plans and operations; and
• Monitor the condition of the Airport and evaluate and recommend actions for improvement.
  
  

Want to attend a meeting?
The Commission meets quarterly (January, April, July, October) on the last Monday of the month at 9:00 a.m. in the Vollmer Room at City Hall.  For business appearing in front of the Commission, City staff recommend any and all parties submit the required documents and supporting information at least twenty (20) days prior to their desired Commission meeting.

Members
The Commission maintains a membership of five (5) voting members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council.  The City Administrator and one (1) Council Member also serve as ex-officio, non-voting members of the Commission.
