Advisory Commissions

The City Council has created four (4) standing advisory commissions to aid the City in decisions regarding planning, development, recreation, and quality of life issues.  The commissions include: 

Advisory Commissions allow residents to take an active role in the development and management of their community.  The Council values and places emphasis on the recommendations offered by these various groups.

If you are interested in serving your community & working with the City of Winsted on one of the advisory commissions, please click on the application and submit the completed form to City Hall. Commission members are appointed by the Mayor and City Council. Positions are normally open until filled. You can review vacant positions listed in the Job Postings section or feel free to provide an application and resume for the City to maintain on file.
