The best source of economic growth & development is usually with existing companies. Business visits occur on a regular basis to build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses. During these visits, the main goal is to assess needs and identify ways that to support local businesses in their growth and success.  

Downtown Development 
A strong downtown is the key to a strong community. A lot of efforts are geared toward maintaining and strengthening Winsted's Downtown. 

Industrial Park Development 
To promote the continued economic growth of the city, the Winsted EDA works in conjunction with the Winsted City Council to ensure that there is industrial park & building space available. 

Business Recruitment and Collaborative Partnerships
The City of Winsted actively recruits new companies to come to Winsted through partnerships already established with existing businesses and looks to fill the needs of the area.  Connect with the City and learn how a partnership can benefit your business.

Financial Assistance
Financing is the single most important ingredient of economic development. The Winsted EDA can provide contacts and other financial resources to help make projects come alive. The Winsted EDA can also assist with Tax Increment Financing and/or Tax Abatement for eligible projects.
