Don C. Guggemos Sr. Community Service Award Nominations - Due 02/10/2026
The “Don C. Guggemos Sr.” Community Service Award was created to recognize residents and businesses in the City of Winsted who have demonstrated a commitment to civic participation and/or volunteer service.
Service can be done in a variety of ways to meet community needs and benefit individuals, groups, or society in general. Community service can include volunteering time, effort, skills, or other resources. The “Don C. Guggemos” Community Service Award is meant to recognize the “unsung heroes” that make our community a better place to live. Three awards are presented each year; the categories are youth, individual, and business or organization.
Now’s your chance to recognize them! We are accepting nominations, honoring those who have made an outstanding impact through service, dedication, and heart. If you know of an individual or business/organization who deserves a BIG thank-you for all they do, don’t keep it a secret—nominate them today!
Simply complete the nomination form attached to this post, or visit City Hall for a nomination form.
Let’s celebrate the people who make our community shine. Nominate a deserving person or group and help us recognize service that truly matters!
Nominations are open through February 10th—don’t wait!
