Planning Commission

The Planning Commission serves as an advisory commission to the City Council providing for the review and recommendation of all planning and zoning matters as required by the Winsted Municipal Code, as referred by the Council and those matters as control by Minnesota State Statutes.  The primary objective of the Commission is to ensure compliance with the the Code.

Want to attend a meeting?
The Commission meets on the second Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.  For business appearing in front of the Commission, City staff recommend any and all parties submit the required application and supporting information at least twenty (20) days prior to their desired Commission meeting.

Members
The Commission maintains a membership of five (5) voting members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council.  The City Administrator and one (1) Council Member also serve as ex-officio, non-voting members of the Commission.
