Seniors Active in Winsted (SAW)

The City of Winsted is currently making an effort to improve the quality of life for its aging community by working with multiple organizations to create more awareness of the abundant offerings!  As this effort  continues to grow, we’ve enlisted the help of Cindy Fiecke as a main point of contact and to act as a spark to ignite partnerships.

If you’d like to connect to the program, Cindy Fiecke is the Age Friendly Community Coordinator. Her role is to establish a regular calendar of connections, find volunteer opportunities, plan occasional events, and share information about each of these opportunities.

SAW Task Force meetings take place the second Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. at Winsted City Hall.

Senior Dining - Congregate Meal Program - Moving to Winsted City Hall, beginning Monday, September 30th!

  • For seniors in Winsted and the surrounding area, age 60+
  • Monday through Friday at Noon 
  • River of Life Christian Church, 170 Main Ave. W., Winsted
  • Meals are offered for a suggested donation.
  • Contact Cindy Fiecke at (612) 518-2870 to RSVP & order your meal by 10 a.m., one business day before you plan to attend.  
  • Guests are welcome with RSVP.

SAIL Classes (Stay Active and Independent for Life)

  • Monday & Friday mornings;
  • 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. or
